The Terraware Field Companion app serves as a valuable tool for data collection in the field. Designed for users with a Terraware account, it offers an intuitive interface that facilitates data gathering without requiring an internet connection during the collection process—only needing connectivity when syncing data to the server.

Seed collectors can efficiently record the quantity and types of seeds collected directly on their mobile devices. Upon returning to the laboratory, users can upload collected data to the seed bank database, streamlining the transfer of specimen information and associated records.

Nursery staff benefit from rapid updates to inventory management. Tasks such as adding new stock, updating batch germination status, and managing seedling transfers or withdrawals can be performed seamlessly once an internet connection is available.

The app also enables users to monitor plant health and development in the field, tracking metrics such as species data, mortality rates, planting density, and other relevant parameters. This functionality provides a comprehensive overview of planting site conditions and allows for trend analysis over time.

Field teams are guided through best practices for collecting detailed plant data and can synchronize their findings upon return, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
